THE HORRIBLE EXECUTION OF IRMA GRESE A FEMALE SS GUARD IN NAZI CONCENTRATION CAMPS.
Irma Grese, born on October 7, 1923, was a female SS guard in Nazi concentration camps during World War II.
She is often referred to as the "Beautiful Beast" due to her youthful appearance and her sadistic behavior. Grese was born in Wrechen, Germany, and joined the SS in 1942 at the age of 18. She participated in the selection process, deciding who would be sent to the gas chambers and who would be used for forced labor.
Grese was known for her cruelty, often beating and torturing prisoners without remorse. She took pleasure in the suffering of others and was known to have trained her dogs to attack and kill inmates. Grese was promoted to the rank of Oberaufseherin, or senior overseer, making her one of the highest-ranking female SS officers at the camp.
Her reign of terror came to an end when British forces liberated Bergen-Belsen in April 1945. Grese was arrested along with other SS guards and put on trial for war crimes. She was charged with murder, torture, and participating in the selection process for the gas chambers.
During her trial, witnesses testified to Grese's sadistic actions and her enjoyment of inflicting pain on prisoners. She showed no remorse for her actions, claiming that she was only following orders. Despite her attempts to deny her involvement, she was found guilty of the charges and sentenced to death.
On December 13, 1945, Irma Grese was executed by hanging at the age of 22. Her case, along with other female guards, brought attention to the role of women in carrying out atrocities during the Holocaust. Grese's actions and her subsequent trial serve as a chilling reminder of the inhumanity and brutality that occurred during this dark chapter in history.
Side Note: When I first saw pictures of Irma Grese I thought it was a picture of actress Elizabeth Moss (Handmaid’s Tale). Omg they look like identical twins to me.
